Cindee Hall has a good home in NMCA Erson Cams Nostalgia Muscle.

She is comfortable and competitive there, and she is compelled to stay there for the foreseeable future.

But she is also giving it everything she has in NMRA Ford Muscle for 2023, and she is off to a good start in both categories in her 1963 Ford Falcon with a small-block Ford maintained by her significant other, Doug Poskevich, who races his fit Fairlane in NMCA Quick Fuel Technology Nostalgia Super Stock.

At the Ryno Classifieds NMRA Spring Break Shootout presented by Nitto in early March at Orlando Speed World in Florida, Hall chose a 13.00 index in Ford Muscle and earned a runner-up finish against John Butsko.

“John Butsko and I were going to have a Falcon versus Falcon race in the final round of eliminations, but my car shut off right after my burnout, and wouldn’t start again,” said Hall, of DeLand, Florida. “It turned out I had a bad relay in my fuel pump, which was unfortunate.”

She returned to Orlando Speed World in mid-March to compete in Erson Cams Nostalgia Muscle at the Scoggin Dickey Parts Center NMCA Muscle Car Mayhem presented by Holbrook Racing Engines, and she qualified in the fifth spot out of 13 racers with a 12.76 on a 12.75, and exited in the first round of eliminations after an off-pace pass.

Hall was ready to race in both categories at the NMRA/NMCA All-Star Nationals presented by MAHLE Motorsport in April at Rockingham Dragway in North Carolina. In Erson Cams Nostalgia Muscle, she qualified in the fifth spot out of 14 racers with a 12.78 on a 12.75 and went two rounds, and in Ford Muscle, she led qualifying with a 12.754 on a 12.75 and raced to the runner-up finish with a 12.69 against Lloyd Mikeska. As an added bonus at that event, she took part in the special Quick Fuel Technology Nostalgia Super Stock vs. Erson Cams Nostalgia Muscle All-Star Shootout, and went three rounds.

At the 18th Annual NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl of Muscle Car Drag Racing at World Wide Technology Raceway in Illinois, she qualified in the seventh spot out of 11 cars with a 12.76 on 12.75 in Erson Cams Nostalgia Muscle and turned on the dreaded red light in the first round of eliminations, and she qualified in the eighth spot with a 12.81 on a 12.75 in Ford Muscle and got a little anxious and turned on the red light in the first round of eliminations. Hall also took part in the Testo Super Bowl Shootout at that event, and took the runner-up spot against Andy Ransford.

Impressively, Hall is holding down fifth-place in Erson Cams Nostalgia Muscle and second-place in Ford Muscle heading into the next two races, the 3rd Annual Mickey Thompson NMRA Ford Homecoming, June 9-11 at Summit Motorsports Park in Ohio and the TorqStorm Superchargers NMRA/NMCA Power Festival presented by Paul’s High Performance, July 20-23 at U.S. 131 Motorsports Park in Michigan.

“Racing both classes has been keeping Doug and me very busy, especially since they run so close together at the events, but it’s good for me because it doesn’t allow me time to be nervous,” said Hall, who has led qualifying and finished as the runner-up several times, and is working hard toward her first event win in NMCA and NMRA.
