It wasn’t just any gathering of beautiful Fords at the Mickey Thompson NMRA Ford Homecoming. Rather a host of special gatherings augmented the traditional UPR Products Car Show. The result was a sprawling field of magnificent machinery that spanned from Ford’s earliest creations to the latest vehicles.

Among the specialty gatherings were the 40th Anniversary Saleen Reunion, the SVTperformance.com 30thSVT Reunion, the Harland Sharp Fox-Body Reunion presented by Foxy Events, and the TascaParts.com Cobra Jet Reunion. These categories brought out some special hardware that delighted those who love the rich and diverse history of Ford vehicles.

Of course, putting on a huge show with so many subcategories is no small undertaking, so our hats are off to the North Coast Mustang & Ford Club of Northern Ohio, which served as the host club for the show and handled the complex on-the-ground logistics to set things up and then took on the challenge of judging all the beautiful cars on the field.

With so many amazing rides on hand, we did our best to capture them all, and we are hitting some highlights from the show here. However, there is nothing quite like being there in person, so if you like what you see here, make plans to attend next year’s NMRA Ford Homecoming, which will celebrate 60 years of the Ford Mustang.

Fans of Cobra Jet-powered Fords were in heaven during the Mickey Thompson NMRA Ford Homecoming. Among the classic machines earning hardware at the TascaParts.com Cobra Jet Reunion was Ron Rupert's 1969 Mustang which earned Cobra Jet Director’s Choice and Tasca Automotive Group Vintage Choice awards.

Of the more current CJs on display, Kevin Daugherty’s 2018 example raced away with the Modern 2016-Current Supercharged Cobra Jet award.

At the end of each show, the Cobra Jet winners gathered to celebrate their well-deserved honors.

For fans of Fox-platform machines, there were rows of these vehicles on display at Summit Motorsports Park as part of the Harland Sharp Fox-Body Reunion presented by Foxy Events. Though it was tough to play favorites with this group, it is tough to beat a clean LX coupe, and Chocolate Fox/Foxtoberfest Promoter Foxy Events selected Tony Rottinger’s 1990 Mustang LX for its award.

Among the mildly modified machines, Scott Vancamp’s 1989 Mustang droptop earned the Director’s Choice Conservative in Ohio.

On the other end of the spectrum, Joe Sepanick’s 1993 Mustang LX hatchback drove away with the Director’s Choice Modified hardware.

At the show’s end, several of the Harland Sharp Fox-Body Reunion presented by Foxy Events winners gathered to collect their awards.

There weren’t just Foxes in one section of the show, however. Blair Brannock 1987 Saleen took home the Best 1987-93 Saleen Mustang award in the 40th Saleen Reunion.

While there were plenty of Mustangs in the Saleen group, the reunion brought out other Saleens too, like Gary Wilner’s 2007 Saleen F-150, which hauled away the Best Saleen Truck & SUV hardware.

Of the more modern Saleens on the property, it was this Beryllium beauty that caught our eyes. Micki Krieger’s 2015 Saleen S302 scored the Fastest Street Car Editor’s Choice as well as the Best 2015-23 Saleen S302 award in Norwalk.

Steve Saleen joined the Saleen Reunion winners at the end of the show to celebrate their well-deserved accolades.

Over at the SVTperformance.com 30th SVT Reunion, the full range of Special Vehicle Team machines was on display at the Mickey Thompson NMRA Ford Homecoming. Among SVT fans, however, the Terminator will always hold a special place, and Bill Kosco’s 2003 SVT Mustang Cobra stood out to collect Director’s Choice honors.

We weren’t kidding about the full range. If you know how much fun the SVT Focus is, you know. The sponsors at SVTPerformance.com know the deal and selected
Tom Sassak’s 2004 SVT Focus for the SVTPeformance.com Choice award.

When it came to our pick, we couldn’t overlook the car that started the SVT movement, so we chose Christine Hartmann’s 1993 SVT Mustang Cobra as our Fastest Street Car SVT Editor’s Choice.

Several of the SVTperformance.com 30th SVT Reunion gathered to collect their awards at the end of the show.

While the competition was fierce in the reunion groups, the traditional UPR Products show field was full of strong competition. Not only did David Robinson take home the coveted Best of Show honors with his 1955 Ford Fairlane, but Robinson’s 1969 Ford pickup hauled away a Special Recognition award.

When we saw the car show entry card on Colton Szabo’s ride, we could resist bestowing it with the Fastest Street Car Editor’s Choice for Best Modern Mustang. After all, it sports classic S197 looks but with an all-electric powertrain.

There was a wide range of models and model years at Summit Motorsports Park, and Larry & Cindy Adolph’s mint 1956 T-Bird flew away with the Director’s Choice award for Best Interior.

Representing the Coyote crowd, Jeff Nimon’s ‘Hellhorse’ 2014 Mustang GT galloped off with the Director’s Choice Best Paint honors.

Another beautiful classic, Dan Varner’s1962 Galaxie 500 Starliner earned the Director’s Choice Conservative award at the Mickey Thompson Ford Homecoming.

Of course, there were plenty of classic Mustangs on hand as well, and Richard Urch’s 1967 Mustang took home the Best Early Mustang award.

Modified trucks are all the rage these days, and Shawn Schramm’s low-slung 1966 F-100 bested the modified cars to earn the Best Ford Hot Rod hardware in Norwalk.

Even some of Ford’s other brands were represented at Summit Motorsports Park, as Terry Wilburn’s 1968 Mercury Cougar nabbed the Best Late Ford ’49-Up award.

From the beginning to the present, the full spectrum of Ford vehicles was on display at the Mickey Thompson Ford Homecoming. As part of the Model T Meet, Tim Wrenn’s 1911 Model T earned the Best Ford Pre-’49 honors.

Staying in its lane, Mike Gosnell’s beautiful, blue 1967 F-100 took home the Best Ford Truck award from Summit Motorsports Park.

As the show concluded, the victors gathered and accepted their awards from the North Coast Mustang & Ford Club of Northern Ohio.
