Gary “Hollywood” Parker Set To Fly in All-New NMRA Street Bandit Class

Beginning with the 2024 NMRA Spring Break Shootout, long-time competitor Gary "Hollywood" Parker will be competing in the new Whatever it Takes Transmission Street Bandit class. Parker is a staple of NMRA racing and has been winning in many forms of racing over many decades.

"I have not been this excited to go racing in a very long time,” Parker said. “The new WIT Street Bandit class should be a very popular addition to the NMRA lineup. Quarter mile, heads-up start on a .400 pro tree made my tail wag for sure," said Parker "We changed the tune to meet the 10.10 index. The first hit will be interesting as we will see how close the new tune gets us to the index," he added.

For 2024, Parker has added two new marketing partners. Strange Engineering and Pioneer Ford of Bremen, Georgia. For more than two decades, Parker has run Strange Engineering brakes and axles on his Ford Mustang race cars. "The quality and strength of the products from Strange Engineering has been proven for many decades. I know I can depend on Strange Engineering to keep me going as well as stopping," Parker added.

Also new for 2024 is Pioneer Ford. Pioneer Ford carries the full line of Ford vehicles and is a Roush and Shelby dealer. Its roots are very strong in Ford Performance, as management is a big advocate of high-performance vehicles. "I'm excited to have a Ford dealership that is performance-minded supporting me. It's very cool." the veteran racer stated.
Parker will also get continued support from long-time marketing partners Exedy Racing Clutch, Fuelab, Team Z Motorsports, Attitude Street Cars, Mickey Thompson Tires and Wheels and Hartline Performance. "Without the support of my marketing partners I would not be able to follow the NMRA circuit. I am so grateful for the loyalty they have shown, as well as the new ones added this year. To all of them I say thank you."
