Kauderer Readying to Run for Coyote Modified Championship

Posted By: Mary Lendzion
Right after driving his 2014 Mustang Cobra Jet to a 7.81 to claim the ProCharger Coyote Modified elapsed-time record at the final NMRA race of the 2016 season, John Kauderer turned his focus to 2017. He delivered his Watson Racing-built race car to Justin's Performance Center, where its current suspension is being replaced with BMR Suspension components, including a K-member, lower A-arms and upper and lower control arms. The Gotta Have It Green machine also will receive a BMR Suspension anti-roll bar which will be a research and development piece for the company. While Kauderer will share that his Coyote engine which was built by MMR and features MMR heads and a Boss 302 intake also is at Justin's Performance Center, he declines to detail what's being done to it. It will, however, continue to work in unison with a 76mm turbo massaged by Forced Inductions, and Kauderer will continue to rely on an RPM Transmissions-built Turbo 400 to plant the power in the car which he's sure will be incrementally quicker and faster from the starting line to the finish line while rolling on Mickey Thompson drag radials. The West Seneca, New York resident, whose crew includes tuner Eric Holliday of Justin's Performance Center, Ron Campbell and Bill Matuzak, finished fourth in 2016 ProCharger Coyote Modified points, has committed to competing in all six of the events on the 2017 NMRA tour, beginning with the 23rd Annual Nitto NMRA Spring Break Shootout, March 2-5, 2017 at Bradenton Motorsports Park in Florida. We are going after the championship, said Kauderer. We want one, and we want to do the best that we can for BMR Suspension and for our other sponsor, United Dairy Machinery Corporation (UDMC).
