Local Sponsors Supercharge NMRA/NMCA Power Festival in Michigan
Next month, the Holley NMRA Ford Nationals, and Red Line Oil NMCA Nationals join forces to bring some Pure Michigan Muscle Car action to US 131 Motorsports Park in Martin, Michigan, from July 20-23. This year, the two series will do so thanks to support from two performance businesses based in the Wolverine State — TorqStorm Superchargers and Paul’s High Performance.
As longtime sponsors and participants in the NMCA series, it was a great fit for Torqstorm to sign on as the title sponsor for the event. The company makes its superchargers not far from the track and principals Scott Oshinski and Chris Brooker run in the Torqstorm Superchargers True Street and LME Street King classes, respectively.
“We were so excited when NMRA and NMCA came to Michigan. TorqStorm has been doing shows and races all over the country for about 11 years, but nothing in Michigan,” Chris Brooker, co-owner of TorqStorm Superchargers, said. “This is our home state and most of our suppliers are from here as well. TorqStorm is very proud of the fact that it is made in the USA and mostly right here in Michigan. Martin is right down the road from our shop, so it just made sense. We thought this was a great way to connect with our customers and have fun racing at the same time.”
Offering 140 different supercharger fitments for a wide range of combinations — from street cars to all-out race cars, Torqstorm offers a boostmakers for any combination racing in the two series.
Much like the owners of TorqStorm Superchargers, Paul Svinicki, the proprietor of Paul’s High Performance in Jackson, Michigan, has a long history of racing with both NMRA and NMCA. His shop, which specializes in Ford performance, has a 35-year history at two different locations, and Svinicki wanted to celebrate his supporters by signing on as the presenting sponsor of the 3rd Annual TorqStorm Superchargers NMRA/NMCA Power Festival Presented by Paul's High Performance.
“We are excited to sponsor the Martin event and to see all of our family, friends, and racers. We wanted to give back to our racing community in a small way and invite our friends and family to see what we do,” Svinicki said. “We like to test our products and combinations on the racetrack so that we can help our customers choose the right combinations to fulfill their performance dreams, and they will see that in person at US 131 Motorsports Park.”
