NMRA Limited Street Shifts Into High Gear With New Sponsor Whatever It Takes Transmission Parts

Combining power adders and street-based engine combinations, NMRA’s Limited Street class is a true showcase of the potential offered by Ford’s pushrod and Modular small-block engines. A favorite of fans and racers alike, the class garnered a new sponsor for the 2023 season in the form of Whatever It Takes Transmission Parts, Inc., which specializes in offering parts for automatic and manual transmissions.

“Classes featuring combinations that our fans can identify with have always been a popular component of the Holley NMRA Ford Nationals series lineup,” Steve Wolcott, President and CEO of NMRA, said. “Limited Street shows the potential of street vehicles that make the transition to race cars within a ruleset that fosters fierce competition. We’re excited to have Whatever It Takes Transmission Parts onboard as the sponsor of this dynamic class.”

A championship category, Whatever It Takes Transmission Parts Limited Street is an entry-level power adder class, limited to a single power adder — nitrous, supercharger, or turbocharger. It is designed for small-blocks engines (302/351, 4.6-liter Modular (Two-, Three- and Four-Valve), 5.0-liter Coyote, 5.4- and 5.8-liter Modular) in 1954 and newer Ford-bodied vehicles. The class allows running both automatic and manual transmissions, which fits nicely with Whatever It Takes Transmission Parts’ mission.

“We have a young lady by the name of Leticia Hughes that we sponsor. She educated our company on the opportunity we have to be part of a growing industry. We see an industry that is growing and we want to be a part of that,” explained Rodney Peters President/CEO of Whatever It Takes Transmission Parts, Inc. “We have a high-performance team that can help educate the racers on getting the parts that are needed to be competitive in this industry.”

NMRA Whatever It Takes Transmission Parts Limited Street racers begin the series’ 25th Anniversary season in Orlando, Florida, on March 2-5, 2023 at the 29th Annual NMRA Spring Break Shootout Presented by Nitto Tire and conclude it at the 25th Annual Whipple Superchargers NMRA World Finals Presented by Competition Clutch Featuring the Holley Intergalactic Ford Festival in Bowling Green, Kentucky, from September 28-October 1, 2023.
