What’s In The Garage—Becky Moldenhauer

Like many of the NMRA teams, me and my wife, Becky Moldenhauer, have been working hard all winter on our SN95 Coyote Stock Mustang. We made the switch this winter to new front struts, new steering column and the big change going to a 9-inch rear end.

The 8.8 was plenty strong, but we felt that with our sealed tune (all Coyote Stock racers use the same tune), we needed to make a change on gearing to maximize the rpm band. We ended up picking up some [elapsed time] at our first outing during the U.S. Street Nationals last, which was encouraging. Becky hasn’t driven the car since the Factory Hot Rods event last June due to hurricane Ian that hit us hard here in Fort Myers, Florida.

After a couple test passes she clicked off a 9.80, which is .2 quicker than her previous 9.98 last season. We are looking forward to the season opener in Orlando in a couple of weeks and hope to be competitive.
