What’s In The Garage—With Leticia Hughes

This off-season we have been making significant changes to our 2018 Ford Mustang. We started a few years ago with a naturally aspirated combination and have upgraded to a supercharger and that has allowed us to run mid-8s. This is a fun and reliable combination that anyone can use for True Street, brackets, Index racing or 8.60 Street Race, which is where we compete.

We have our dedicated sponsors who have always been there and we’re adding some new sponsors to the program so we can successfully race our 2018 Ford Mustang in NMRA and other events.

We are focused on building a team with one goal—and that is to win. We have stepped up our program to be competitive and consistent by upgrading to a Roadmaster Powertrain/WIT-built TH400 with Raybestos Blue Plates on the inside.

We paired the trans with a Circle D Specialties bolt-together torque converter; we couldn’t be more excited to welcome them to the team. We know this transmission will allow us to be competitive in the 8.60 Street Race class and our plan is to make a good run for the NMRA championship. We also welcomed TransTec to the team and we are excited to showcase our love for NMRA with them as well.
