With the 27th Annual NMRA Spring Break Shootout coming up, March 4-7, at Bradenton Motorsports Park in Bradenton, Florida, it’s time to start thinking about what else you can do while in the area.. Granted there will be a lot of time spent at the racetrack, but we also know racers and their families are looking for other things to do as well.
The Bradenton area has plenty offer families. From the sandy beaches and calm waters or the Gulf Coast to tons of different recreation options, Bradenton and Manatee County offer plenty of opportunity to enjoy the sunshine and mild March temperatures.
Staying for a couple extra days? Check out Anna Maria Island; Longboat Key Beaches; Coquina Beach, which offers a picnic area, playground and nature trails; Whitney Beach, which, at a quarter-mile long, is a length racers can relate to; Manatee Beach, which features a playground, volleyball courts and a beach shop, and Cortez Beach, which boasts more than a hundred feet of beach.
