GForce Performance Engineering Backs King of the Street 2020

Posted By: Mike Galimi
Last year, the Holley NMRA Ford Nationals introduced a new program dubbed King of the Street, which collected the winners of QA1 True Street and other shootouts from all six events to create an 8-car, heads-up battle during the Nitto Tire NMRA World Finals + Holley Intergalactic Ford Festival. This year, GForce Performance Engineering, manufacturer of CV axles and driveline components, jumped into street car madness as sponsor of the unique invitational to find out who truly is the King (or Queen) of the Street. A competitor can only enter the exclusive GForce Performance Engineering King of the Street eight-car field by racing their way in during a 2020 NMRA event. An NMRA and GForce Performance Engineering representative will present invitations at each stop on the tour to each QA1 True Street Overall national event winner, the victor of the JLT Performance Spring Break Shootout, and the highest finishing competitor without an invitation from the QA1 True Street field at the NMRA World Finals + Holley Ford Fest. In the instance that one racer owns more than one invitation, NMRA officials will use the NMRA World Finals QA1 True Street results as the alternate list, working their way down to ensure all 8 positions are filled for Sunday's heads-up competition. Race by race, the ladder for the GForce Performance Engineering King of the Street will be filled, with the dramatic showdown happening on Saturday of the NMRA World Finals, which is the biggest Mustang motorsports event of the year. The King of the Street winner will walk away with $2,500, other special prizes, a prestigious Victor award, and a celebration in the Aerospace Components Winner's Circle. QA1 True Street is a vivacious community and the category has been a staple in the Ford event format for over 25 years. We are thrilled to be offering another GForce Performance Engineering King of the Street competition to give those racers a chance to run heads-up during the biggest Ford motorsport event of the year, says Rollie Miller, General Manager and National Event Director of the NMRA Ford Nationals. The King of the Street shootout was a prestigious and fun competition last year and we are thankful for GForce Engineering's support to make it happen again in 2020.
