With 10 successful seasons solidly in the history books, one of the NMRA’s most beloved — and craziest — classes, G-Force Racing Transmissions Coyote Stock, is still rapidly gaining momentum and the future is looking even brighter.
One of NMRA G-Force Racing Transmissions’ favorite jokers, Carlos Sobrino, was involved in a scary wreck while racing at the Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings event at Pennsylvania’s Maple Grove Raceway in May.
With car counts regularly in the 20s, the NMRA’s G-Force Racing Transmissions Coyote Stock category offers plenty of competition in a relatively inexpensive, heads-up class, and now Holley EFI Factory Super Cars driver Jason Dietsch has decided to join the ranks after purchasing a 2004 Mustang from Coyote Stock racer Jimmy Vogel.
The competition in the NMRA’s Richmond Gear Factory Stock class is as tough as a heads-up category gets, and FS racer Gary Windsor and car owner Michael Washington have put some major changes/upgrades into the gray notchback over the winter for the 2022 racing season.
After sitting out the 2020 season due to the pandemic and the birth of his second child, Steve Kurimchak was missing racing and feeling down, so he bought himself a little pick-me-up in the form of a sealed Gen 3 Coyote crate engine.
A Maryland resident who works at Johns Hopkins University managing its heavy equipment fleet operations, Kurimchak hadn't raced in NMRA G-Force Transmissions Coyot...
Absence makes the heart grow fonder, and absence from racing definitely deepens the desire to get back at it more than ever. When former NMRA Exedy Racing Clutch Modular Muscle racer Matt Fint sat out for six seasons, his return to NMRA Richmond Gear Factory Stock in 2020 helped quell a craving, but not completely. Now, for 2021, Fint will be making the move to NMRA G-Force Racing Transmissions Co...
When it's time to get back into racing after a hiatus, it's always a good idea to consult an expert. And, when that expert is Brandon Alsept, winner of two NMRA Pure Street championships, one NMCA Mean Street championship, and crew chief/tuner for Matt Amrine's four NMRA Factory Stock championships, the good idea becomes a great one.
Ohio resident Tom Mueller drag raced his ProCharged 89 Fox b...

Although the 12th Annual Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center NMRA/NMCA All-Star Nationals at Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, Georgia, was originally scheduled to be run in April, the repercussions from the Covid-19 pandemic forced a date change to June 26-28, 2020. It was definitely worth the wait, though, as the event was run to completion over a near-perfect weekend and racers ...

In 2017, the NMRA Technical Department announced the transition to the Gen 2 Coyote engine for Coyote Stock with a guaranteed 4-year run without an engine change. In accordance with that announcement and its timeline, along with the expected depleted production of Gen 2 Coyote engines, the G-Force Racing Transmissions Coyote Stock eliminator will add the Gen 3 Coyote engine to the list of approved...
Mike Bowen has long held the title of most unique ride in the NMRA's G-Force Racing Transmission Coyote Stock class, but a challenger to that title will make his debut during the 2020 season, as Tim Donathen readies his 1978 Ford Fairmont Wagon for some gear-banging, heads-up racing.
Donathen's wagon came off the assembly line already packing V-8 power, with a 302ci/C4 driveline combination mov...

In drag racing, much like in life, there are highs and there are lows. The fleeting glow of success can quickly be offset by its less enjoyable counterpart, but a true racer always continues on. Growing up, Darin Hendricks didn't have anyone to turn to for mentorship of his mechanical interests. No one in his family was interested in cars...

A few weeks ago we teased on social media'dyno testing of Project #PureEvil's new engine combination, dubbed PE-2. It sounded rowdy, angry, and it crushed last year's combination by a wide margin. The new Rich Groh Racing masterpiece has more of everything and produced 744rwhp on JPC Racing s chassis dyno. For those keeping score that ...

The competition is fierce in NMRA Factory Stock and Coyote Stock as racers look for an edge over the competition. Several racers in each category have relied on JLT Performance cold air induction kits to help power their way to record runs, event wins, and ultimately the championships in both categories. NMRA rules require off-the-shelf parts for those eliminators, meaning the championship-winning...
